Elections for the Department of Life Sciences - September 2025

The election took place on September 23, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Mr. René GARCIA was elected Director of the Disciplinary Department, receiving 100% of the votes.
The Director’s term begins on September 24, 2025, and the election is now final.

In accordance with the University of Côte d’Azur’s Bylaws, the Departments are responsible for coordinating and ensuring consistency in educational needs within their discipline across the institution. The main missions of a disciplinary department are:

• To bring together all specialists in a discipline under a common framework, regardless of their employer: faculty members and instructors from the university and its constituent institutions, staff from partner institutions who are eligible voters at Université Côte d’Azur, and researchers from national research organizations.
• To maintain a comprehensive overview of the discipline’s potential and teaching needs. The Department serves as a forum for discussing all needs within the discipline to inform the university’s constituent units and governance bodies in developing their multi-year recruitment policies.

• Voting took place online via the BELENIOS app. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM;
• You can vote from any computer, tablet, or smartphone connected to the internet.
• To vote, you must log in to the BELENIOS voting app. Please be aware that you will receive two emails from Belenios: one containing your voting code and the other your password.
