According to the National Council for the Evaluation of Higher Education, knowledge transfer is the means of "making the results, knowledge and skills of research usable or marketable". Its purpose is to increase the value of research results and guarantee their impact in the public and private sector.

Technology transfer is the commercialization of public research results through partnerships with industry or startup creation.

SATT Sud-Est

SATT Sud-Est develops the competitiveness of companies by promoting innovations emerging from public research in the Paca and Corsica regions.

Its core business is to mature inventions made by regional research laboratories from a legal (intellectual property), business (market) and technological (technological maturation) standpoint.
Its goal is to transfer innovative technologies from its shareholders to the industrial world by granting operating licenses to companies.

Incubateur Paca-Est
Incubateur Paca-Est supports innovative startups.

The incubator offers innovative entrepreneurs personalized support over a period of 6 to 24 months in addition to training and expertise, facilities and in some cases a refundable advance.

It mainly supports and assists projects stemming from or linked to French public research.

The incubator is supported by the Ministry of Research and Higher Education, the PACA Regional Council, the departmental councils of Alpes-Maritimes and Var, the Nice-Côte d'Azur metropolis, the Toulon-Provence-Mediterranean urban community, and the agglomeration of Sophia-Antipolis and the Pays de Grasse, and the City of Cannes.

It develops local industries with high added value without taking part in the capital of the future company.
Eurobiomed
Eurobiomed is the competitiveness cluster of the South of France dedicated to Healthtech.

Created in 2009 by the key members of the healthcare sector in the South Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur and Occitanie regions, Eurobiomed forms an ecosystem of more than 400 companies, large corporations, SMEs, startups, research laboratories and universities that work together to develop and market innovative products and services that generate growth and jobs in promising markets.
