Governing bodies and decisions
To ensure its smooth running, the LIFE Graduate School (EUR LIFE) relies on:
- its Scientific and Educational Council (CoSP) to define the School’s broad strategic direction in terms of scientific research and education
- its Steering Committee (CoPIL), comprising renowned scientific figures
- its External Monitoring Committee
These bodies interact with one another in an advisory capacity and address internal and external issues from various perspectives. They are heavily involved in the management of the School as well as in the academic and scientific communities
Scientific and Educational Council (CoSP)
The Scientific and Pedagogical Council is a forum for dialogue, reflection and evaluation of the faculty’s educational policy. The CoSP brings together representatives of academic staff, lecturers, researchers, administrative and technical staff, and students who are involved in the life of the EUR.
Steering Committee (COPIL)
The Steering Committee oversees the EUR. Under the leadership of its director or deputy director, it proposes and implements the unit’s strategy. It sets the EUR’s policy, in particular its teaching programme in conjunction with research, on the recommendation of the director or co-director, following consultation with the COSP and in accordance with the institution’s scientific policy.
